The idea behind this design is to redesign a clients existing ring into a new item of jewellery.  The client wanted to reuses the diamond from the old ring, remounting it into a new platinum solitaire ring designed by one of our jewellery makers.

The new design was designed using the computer aided design or CAD system for short.  After the initial free jewellery design consultation where ideas were sketched by hand with the client a rendered digital image was produced using the CAD system to show to the client.  This system is a fantastic tool to give a virtual 3d impression of what the ring will look like.

The digital design was produced into a wax formed ring which was sent to be cast into the metal of choice.

The ring was then sculptured by hand by our jewellery maker into the ring you see at end of the clip with the stone mounted to finish the piece.
